Successful International Exhibitions

In October EconCore attended a number of International trade shows.
A the 2009 Fachpack in Nürnberg EconCore highlighted it’s technologies that allow for cost efficient packaging concepts using either paper cardboard or thermoplastic PP / PE materials. “More than in recent year the industry requires low cost packaging solutions, that deliver optimal performance while using a minimal amount of material resources” said CEO Jochen Pflug “For these reasons we saw a great interest in our ThermHex and TorHex production technology.”
From 14-16 October EconCore attended the JEC Asia in Singapore. Jointly with our pacific partner, Itochu, EconCore informed a great number of potential customers on the benefits of our technology. Also the first Japanese licensee, Gifu Plastics, was present at our stand and showed a great number of PP board packaging applications made with our ThermHex manufacturing technology.
During the Europe Composites show in Stuttgart EconCore launched its daughter company, ThermHex Waben GmbH, that will focus on production of PP honeycomb cores for the RFP markets. Sales manager Thorsten Hildebrand mentioned: ”ThermHex cores offer light weight and exceptional economics and are used in for example swimming pools and windmills.”
During the composites forum François de Bie, Head of sales and marketing, presented a paper on the industrial production of honeycomb cores and panels. “Lightweight composite panels, for a range of demanding applications in aircraft, automotive and truck industries are becoming the standard.
